Currently, the BMW 3-Series is available only as a sedan in the US market, with core models like the 330i, performance models like the M340i, and the M3. In addition to sedans, the BMW used to offer coupes, convertibles, and wagons in its 3-Series lineup. The coupes and convertible models were discontinued after 2013, and the wagons were discontinued after 2019. 330i Sedan

• Coolant Leaks: The plastic reservoir, coolant lines, and hoses can, over time, become brittle and cause leaks. Engine overheating and frequent coolant low-level warnings are indications of this damage. A pressure test at our shop identifies the source of the leak. Replacing the damaged component, along with its plastic component, is performed to rectify the issue at the EuroPro service facility in Myrtle Beach or Charleston.
• VANOS Solenoid Failure: Oil sludge buildup and clogging over time can cause the VANOS solenoid to fail, which regulates valve timing in the BMW 3-Series. The faculty VANOS solenoid is accessed from the front of the engine, and replaced with a new solenoid at our facility in Charleston and Myrtle Beach.

M340i Sedan

• Oil Filter Housing Gasket: The gasket that seals the oil filter and its housing is made of rubber and degrades over time due to constant heat and engine heat. The leaks from this cause low oil levels, burnt oil smell, and oil drips on the ground. At EuroPro, near Charleston and Myrtle Beach, our technician removes the intake manifold and replaces the gasket, ensuring proper sealing on the BMW M340i sedan.

BMW 3-Series Coupe

• Window Regulator Malfunction: The window regulator on the 3-Series coupe models is under excessive strain due to the frameless door on the module. The plastic and steel cables inside the mechanism are prone to breaking after about 8 years. At our auto service facility, the interior door panel is removed and the window regulator assembly is replaced.

BMW 3-Series Convertibles

• Convertible Top Failure: The complex folding tops of convertible models are notorious for hydraulic failures in the roof system that control the folding and unfolding of the roof. Due to clogging, the hydraulic pump fails to move the top. Our technicians’ visual inspection identifies the failure’s origin and clears the clog. However, this issue can be largely avoided by preventive maintenance in Myrtle Beach and Charleston.

• Rear Tailgate Wiring Harness Failure: The tailgate wiring harness runs through a flexible rubber boot between the chassis and the tailgate.
